2018 CPMEC Clinical Educator of the Year Award
The CPMEC Australia & New Zealand Clinical Educator of the Year Award has been presented anually since 2010. The award recognises clinical educators across Australia and New Zealand who have made a major contribution to the education and training of junior doctors.
The recipient of this award should be a clinical educator who fulfils more than one of the following criteria:
- Made a significant contribution to teaching of junior doctors; and/or
- Evidence of developing innovative programs and approaches for junior doctors; and/or
- Made a significant contribution to mentoring and the provision of career advice to junior doctors; and/or
- Made a significant contribution to promoting the well-being of junior doctors; and/or
- Evidence of advocating for junior doctors education and training in the workplace and beyond, which could include contributions to a Postgraduate Medical Council (or equivalent); and/or
- Evidence of improving education and training opportunities in rural health; and/or
- Other relevant contributions
The 2018 CPMEC Clinical Educator of the Year Award was presented to Dr Lucy Kilshaw from Western Australia.
