Mapping of University Medical Curricula and Hospital Rotations to the Australian Curriculum Framework for Junior Doctors

This project is being conducted by the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria.  The aim of the project is to develop an instrument that will map medical undergraduate curricula to the Australian Curriculum Framework for Junior Doctors.

The outcomes of mapping the undergraduate curricula will be piloted with three Victorian hospitals in metropolitan, suburban, rural settings to determine the learning opportunities for junior doctors during their core intern rotations. The project will also identify areas where additional clinical experience or training may be required.

This project is scheduled for completion in January 2009.
