CPMEC Executive Committee

CPMEC is governed by its Executive Committee which comprises the Chairperson of each State or Territory Postgraduate Medical Council (PMC) or equivalent together with their Principal Executive Officer. The Executive Commitee is chaired by CPMEC Chair, Prof Brendan Crotty.

CPMEC Consultative Council

In addition, CPMEC has a Consultative Council that usually meets during the annual Prevocational Forum. In addition to the Executive Committee members, the Council represents a broad spectrum of stakeholders committed to excellence in medical education across Australia and New Zealand including:

• Australian Medical Council

• Medical Deans of Australia and New Zealand

• Australian Medical Students Association

• Australian Medical Association Council for Doctors-in-Training

• Australian Medical Council

• Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges Education Committee

• Patient Safety Education Representative

• Department of Health and Ageing

• Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association.

The General Manager of CPMEC is the Secretary to both the Executive Committee and the Consultative Council. The current General Manager is Dr Jagdishwar (Jag) Singh.
