Advisory Council

The role of the Advisory Council is to seek inputs from external stakeholders on prevocational education and training issues identified by the Confederation. The Advisory Council meets at the Annual Prevocational Forum and comprises representatives from the following stakeholders:

  • Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA)
  • Australian Medical Association Council for Doctors in Training (AMACDT)
  • Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association (AIDA)
  • Australian Medical Council (AMC)
  • Australian Medical Students Association (AMSA)
  • Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges Education Committee (CPMC)
  • Medical Deans of Australia and New Zealand
  • Patient Safety Education Representative
  • Australasian JMO Committee (AJMOC)
  • Medical Board of Australia (MBA)
  • Health Workforce Principal Committee (HWPC)
  • Any other organization determined by the Board

 The Chairperson and Principal Officers of each PMC also attend the meeting of the Advisory Committee.
